Festival (Rath Yatra) is an important festival of Jeypore.Rath yatra is
celebrated on 21 june allover the state
but in Jeypore this festival is celebrated one day late as per the tradition.
More than 50 thousand people from different places gathered here to enjoy this
Rath Yatra.In Jeypore, Rath Yatra is started on 21.6.2012(Thursday). Lord Jagannath, Balbhadra, sister Subhadra brought from temple to Rath
podia and place them on car.On 22.6.2012(Friday) thousands of people
& devotees pulled the Rath to Mausi maa temple(Banko Motho).Three
goddess stayed there nine days and return to
Gundicha Mandir on 29.6.2012(Friday).It is popularly known as Bahuda
Yatra.During this nine days lots of devotee visited the Mausi Maa temple and
various cultural programs are organized near that temple.
